It was a blessing to also have had Susana, a dentist from Guayaquil and her niece Heidi a dental student give a week of their time to join the medical volunteers from OK. There were many from all ages who needed and had dental work done. The team's challenge was to work without adequate facilities but their faith in the Lord was sufficient and many were blessed not only through the dental care, but opportunities to share the gospel message. Along with working with children, Anna was also available to assist along with Nora and Mario. Also joining us were two local doctors from the local community of Sisid ready to give vaccinations to the children. The top picture you see is a picture representing the earth god and sun god which the people in this small community school worship and is what they teach in their school. Though we were invited to give medical and dental attention we were not allowed to share the gospel or teach the children songs about Jesus. We did a lot of praying that through our presence and acts of good deeds,the people would see a reflection of Jesus in our lives. Please be in prayer for this small community, the school staff and the children in Sisid.
