Cotopachi is a small community up in the Southern Andeas about two and a half hours from Cuenca. It used to be a tourist attraction by train. A small catholic church building exists and a small school where children from the surrounding farms are able receive some form of education. The teacher travels daily from Tambo about an hour away. The people are opened to hear and have some one come and teach about family and God. A mother and daughter as they washed their clothes in a small stream of water welcomed us as we also invited them to join us with the medical/dental team offering free services in nearby Pimo.
