We had a wonderful blessing with retired missionary Archie Jones who was the founder of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Cuenca joining us with his daughter and grandchildren. What a blessing to see three generations surrendered and serving the Lord. Archie is praying over the children in Primera. Archie was also the first Southern Baptist in Cuenca, provinces of Azuay and Cañar and started the first evangelical work with the Quechua people dating back in the sixties. His presence was a blessing as he shared testimony of the persecutions they went through being chased with machetes, beaten with showers of rocks, and in many cases being shot at. PTL for his faithfulness, there are now many churches in Cañar, eight Quechua churches in the U.S. and some in Europe. Other photos show the team along with members of Primera working together at health clinics and evangelizing at a local park where 150 people showed interest in having home Bible Studies. Other photo we see Missionary Linda Freeman and Mark Cody watching the work God is doing. Please continue to pray for effective follow up of the people interested in the gospel and that we continue the example of retired missionary Archie Jones in staying faithful to our calling.
