10. Pray that the Ecuadorian Baptist churches and convention be wise to discern what is of God and what is false and not allow an open door for the enemy to slip in.

Praise: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You set your glory above the heavens. I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. Psalm 8:1-2, 9:1-2

A very common site quite often reminding me of the wonderful story and perhaps you might find it humorous in Numbers 22:21-32 where the Lord opened the donkey's mouth and spoke. It's an encouragement and an honor to be used by God to spread the gospel message.

PTL for the month of July as He kept us busy with a volunteer team doing health clinics and evangelism opening new doors in communities. Giron is a community where there are 2 small evangelical churches and now God is opening the doors to start new Baptist works as a result of your prayers and God's faithful servants. Health clinics consisted of teaching the nationals basics of dental hygiene, personal hygiene, healthy eating habits with proper diet, giving free vitamins and basic medicines, and most important offering spiritual counsel. Sherry is offering dental hygiene information while Anna and Jiocanda the local pastor's wife offer vitamins and basic medication and Al is offering spiritual guidance through the use of the evangicube. PTL for the decisions to continue to seek the Lord and hearts being open and softened to His Word.

We had a wonderful blessing with retired missionary Archie Jones who was the founder of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Cuenca joining us with his daughter and grandchildren. What a blessing to see three generations surrendered and serving the Lord. Archie is praying over the children in Primera. Archie was also the first Southern Baptist in Cuenca, provinces of Azuay and Cañar and started the first evangelical work with the Quechua people dating back in the sixties. His presence was a blessing as he shared testimony of the persecutions they went through being chased with machetes, beaten with showers of rocks, and in many cases being shot at. PTL for his faithfulness, there are now many churches in Cañar, eight Quechua churches in the U.S. and some in Europe. Other photos show the team along with members of Primera working together at health clinics and evangelizing at a local park where 150 people showed interest in having home Bible Studies. Other photo we see Missionary Linda Freeman and Mark Cody watching the work God is doing. Please continue to pray for effective follow up of the people interested in the gospel and that we continue the example of retired missionary Archie Jones in staying faithful to our calling.

Please be in prayer for the community of Ingapirka known for and place of old Inca ruins. Lot's of history and tradition. In July we were blessed to take a medical team to do health clinics. The people were open to us being there, but then the catholic priest came out to arouse the people of the community and told them if they would continue to listen to the evangelicals, he would leave. Most people wanted us there and to continue blessing them with the health clinic and giving free literature and Bibles, however a few were causing disturbance, therefore we were forced to leave for the safety of the volunteers and missionaries. As we were leaving, a few people asked to come back to their homes to give them Bibles and teach them about what God says in His Word. Join us in prayer as we are praying to start a Home bible study with two families there. Amidst the enemy wanting to discourage, God is working and will be victorious. In the first picture are a group of members of a nearby church in Sisid waiting to go to Ingapirka and reach out to their neighboring community. The others are pictures of the volunteers setting up and waiting for the people to come to receive blessing of the health clinic.

Matt. 19:13-15 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them...Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belong to such as these...Dt 6:5-9 teaches us we are to impress upon our children His commandments. What a joy to see parents commit and dedicate their children unto the Lord. After a child's dedication worship service, people gather at the home to fellowship with praises and a big meal.

Pastor Felix with a Quechua couple from Cahuashun on one of our visits as we go out to other communities to encourage other pastors in new house church planting.

PTL. Please pray for this group of believers whom we are praying for as they are looking to form as a church on Aug 25th. This is part of the fruit from reaching out to children in schools passing out a booklet of "The Book of Life" talking about the life of Jesus in the four gospels. Some leaders have been led to leave their church to start this new work. They have been blessed with a building and they are reaching out in home bible studies during the week. Wednesday nights they meet together and are continually multiplying. It has also been an opportunity for Al to be accompanied by a young pastor from Cuenca and receive discipling in the calling of a pastor.
