Sept 2012 Prayer and Praise Update
Greetings and blessings in the name our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you so much for your faithfulness through your prayers, generous giving and support ion so many ways for the cause of God’s kingdom. I pray you are all doing well along with your families and church families. Anna and I have been back for a month settling in and getting back to our normal ministry and we appreciate so much all of your prayers and support. It's been a very busy time with tremendous opportunities to reach out to both the saved and unsaved. Much time has been spent on the road to the various communities and finally getting some time to catch up on the logistics and admin part of the ministry.
Prayer request:
1. Strength and health to fulfill God’s calling during this next term and wisdom to be spirit lead in all decisions. To know and walk with God encouraging the believers and take the gospel message with boldness and clarity to communities where there is no evangelical work that the lost may come to know him as their LORD and Savior.
2. My (Al’s) father and mother’s health. My father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer and is quickly advancing. He is becoming very weak. He has been the caretaker for my mother but now they are both getting to the point of needing 24 hr care. Pray for wisdom in decisions needed to be made.
3. Prayer for the women’s prison ministry, the volunteers to boldly and compassionately continue to share the gospel and encourage the women as one can only imagine the daily struggles and spiritual war they face. Pray for spiritual growth for those being discipled that they be firmly rooted and grounded in God’s Word and promises.
4. Pray for the pastors and leaders being trained at the Bible Institute inn Tambo to walk In holiness even through the struggles they face in ministry. That they will have a burning desire to reach out to neighboring communities and beyond with the gospel ,message. That their hearts will be burning for and fulfilling the Great Commission.
5. Started a home Bible study with a family of 2 doctors, 2 pharmacists, and two dentist. The father had some years back began to study to become a priest but was disillusioned. He is beginning open his heart to seeking God’s truth and learn how to be the spiritual leader and head of the household.
6. A group of ten young people will be going on a mission trip to Africa. This is answered prayer and some believers are beginning to grasp our purpose and being enslaved to the Lordship of Christ. Pray for their safe travels and that they will be lead by God’s spirit as they share the gospel. That they will know God’s presence every moment and allow God’s power to enable them to be lights in a dark world.
7. Nabon is a county where two years ago we began a Bible study with a small group of ten believers confirming their faith and taking them through a discipleship time. Now they have a vision for starting a project to reach out to the communities in and around Nabon where people can be ministered to through family counseling, learn how to break the bondage of various types of abuse and most important to disciple believers in living in holiness and being an influence in their culture. Pray for through home Bible studies, a breakout of house churches will result with strong families being rooted and grounded by faith in God’s Word and promises. Pray we will be sensitive and know God’s leading in this project, protection and provisions.
8. Pray for a struggling pastor (F) as he, his family and the church are going through some heavy spiritual attack from the enemy. Ask for wisdom and strength for us and others ministering to them as we help them walk through these moments that seem so dark. Pray for the light to continue to shine and perseverance in the faith.
