April 2012 Updates

Thanksgiving and Prayer: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Php 1:2-6 Apr 2012 Praise and Prayer Request 1. Praise God for all the new doors He continues to open for ministry. Pray as He opens these doors, we find more churches to partner with us to go into these communities with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and be able to start house churches. 2. New believers are being baptized. I received a report of 7 churches baptizing 36 new believers, 15 baby dedications and one wedding. Pray these baptized believers will stay faithful and become strong witnesses and leaders to start new house churches in their surrounding communities. 3. Pray for a J. who is a spiritual leader being raised up in the community of Guarapungo where there is no evangelical work. He has been given opportunity to share and teach family values to the schools and children. We are asking for doors to open through him to go into this community and surrounding neighbors with the gospel. A VBS is planned for July. We have been praying and doing driving and prayer walks since 2005. Pray for Pastor Felix as he is discipling J. 4. Prayer for pastor Lucas as he continues faithfully seeking to start a home bible study leading to a house church in Ghun a community that has strongly persecuted believers that have gone in to share the gospel through medical clinics and visiting the schools. Pray for protection and wisdom. 5. Pastor F in Guigra needs prayer for him, the family and the church to accept and live through the forgiveness already offered. 6. Continued prayer for pastor G and wife J as they faithfully disciple new believers and encourage to start new house churches in neighboring communities. They need workers committed workers to work with children as their children’s ministry continues to grow. Pray as they use this opportunity to reach the parents and go into the homes. 7. Pray as partnering churches continue to bring volunteer groups to assist the local churches in reaching out and disciple while we are STAS Apr 30 to Aug 24. 8. Pray for Anna and I as we go to STAS Apr to Aug 24. That we spend quality time with our family and enjoy a little rest. That as we go speak in various churches, they would be encouraged to continue and increase their support in obedience to the Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20. That we would be led to encourage others to partner with us and other missionaries serving in other countries.
