1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Ps 100:1-5
We thank God for your faithfulness, prayers and support. We also continue to pray for you and encourage to continue walking and stepping out in faith as you seek Him.
Feb 2012 Praise and Prayer Request For Quichua Team
1. Continued prayer and thank God for the women’s prison ministry. Women inmate believers are beginning to meet to pray and read the bible together. Sandra and Ana led the meeting, and they were thrilled with the response. They found a daily devotional book and are going to have each woman take a turn reading it. "That way," they said, "no one will think someone is more important than another." That sounded like wisdom to me. Al will be leading the Bible study through Feb. Pray for God's anointing and increased faith on the part of the women.
2. The house churches in Zhud had their first worship meeting in their new construction building on New Year’s Eve. Praise God for your prayers, the help and support of ICP that came to build. However through the heavy rains and mudslides, the walls of both floors were destroyed. Pray as Lucas the people to rebuild through the struggles and spiritual war. We can praise God that through all this, Ghun, a nearby community that has been very closed to the gospel and has persecuted believer, tow families have opened their hearts to allow us to go in and start Bible studies.
3. Pray for continued wisdom for both of us (Al & Anna) as we seek to make time for one-on-one discipleship with Liz, Alexandra, Diego, Victor, Paul, Gonzalo and Jenny. That as they grow and heal from past hurts and struggles, they will start to disciple others.
4. Feb 26 we plan to have a kids day in Nabon. Over 200 children have been invited from surrounding communities. Pray for the workers and youth from FBC in Cuenca that the activities they will be leading in will help the children to understand the gospel message. Pray as the children are being ministered to, the parents or guardians will have an interest and doors to open in homes to share the gospel and start home Bible studies. This event is too big for the pastor and a hand full of believers, but our God is a big God and will provide all the help and resources to reach these families
5. Pray for the new leadership Juan L and his family in Santa Barbara and surrounding house churches.
6. Pray for Al as he will be teaching at the Tambo Bible Institute the end of Feb to 30 pastors and leaders on Caring for People God’s Way. Need the strength for a heavy week of teaching Mon through Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. That the material presented and taught, will be applied by the pastors and leaders.
7. Continued prayer for C.A.S.A. Ministries and the leaders that they will stay faithful and catch the vision to step out in faith to reach new families that will lead to new home Bible studies and house churches.
8. Prayer for planning of partnering churches brining volunteer groups to help national believers reach out where God is opening doors in new communities.
9. Pray for pastor Felix as continues to work with a family in Inga Pirca that has been responding well to the discipleship and is being courageous to reach out another family in the midst of past persecutions. God has also led Felix to start Bible studies with two families in Gurapungo a community with no evangelical work.
10. Prayer for unity of leadership and pastors in the Canar association.
11. Pray for Pastor Onorato as he continues to train 30 young leaders that they will by faith go out to neighboring communities where the Lord will lead them in taking the gospel message and new home Bible studies will start.
