The apostle Peter tells us to be like God--the Holy one--set apart in everything we do (1 Peter 1:15). He says, be totally sold out to God! Be available for His special use! Refuse to be entwined in sin. Jesus prayed for you in this same way (john 17:17). he asked His Father to protect you and to sanctify you (set you apart)--so that you would be living pure and ready tom be used by God. Imagine that...today, Jesus prays that you would be holy. (Gripped by the Holiness of God, James MacDonald).

THANK YOU for sending us to serve in Ecuador as missionaries/family counselors/church-planters among the Quechua people. Your giving to the Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering allow us and our team to live here and share Jesus. It is through all of your prayers and support that the gospel is being spread and lives are being transformed.

You allow us to fulfill God’s call.
• To reach the Quechua and Shuar of Southern Ecuador with the gospel
• I coordinate strategy to get the Gospel to the hard to reach.
• Disciple and encourage believers to respond to the Great Commission Matt 28:18-20

Please pray with us that ...
• New believers will be a blessing to their communities.
• We will not feel overwhelmed but always call on the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Southern Baptists will support more workers for this great harvest!

Prayer and Praise Request Dec 2010
1. Women’s jail ministry Anna is involved with as they prepare Christmas baskets for 120 women. Pray that specially this month as God’s love is expressed through the ministry and sharing the gospel message that the imprisoned women will be impacted in a way they would receive the most beautiful gift from God and begin new and transformed lives.
2. Pray for the work with the Shuar. The community of Shakai is facing persecution form their surrounding communities as Cory along with Edwin and Javier spent a month living amongst the people to build relationships. During that time, they were able to share the gospel through Bible storying and a couple of families from Shakai were very open to the teachings. However the neighboring communities are bothered with these three young men (outsiders) coming in. Pray that through this jealousy of the neighboring communities, it will be an opportunity for the seed that has planted, God will continue to send workers to do the harvest.
3. Continued prayer for the few believers in Nabon as they are being discipled and their excitement will continue to grow in allowing Jesus Christ to be the center of their lives and living in holiness attracting their families, friends and neighbors to also desire to invite Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
4. Pray for D. a young house church starter that he will continue to stay strong and trusting in Jesus Christ to do the work through him. He is facing many challenges that are distracting to his commitment and walk with the Lord.
5. A young couple Jorge and Maribel are struggling in their marriage. Pray for Al and Anna as they minister to them and help them come to point in their live to recognize they can do nothing in their own strength, that God can do nothing for their relationship as long as they think they are sufficient in and of themselves. That they will completely trust and surrender their lives and marriage in the hands of the one who can change them, Jesus Christ.
6. Pray for Bob, Peggy, Al and Anna as they minister to the parents and staff of the students of the blind and deaf school. They are seeking understanding and guidance in how to help their children be obedient. Pray for the parents to first recognize and their need to place their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and allowing Him to the center of their lives to help them in raising and teaching their children in obedience.
7. Pray for David Edwards (JM) as he will be traveling to the states to be with family for Christmas. That this will be a time of refreshing and encouragement and will return with a fresh and renewed spirit to finish his term.
8. Pray we will be sensitive and take every opportunity during this Christmas and holiday season to hear God’s voice and leading us through open doors to share the gospel offering with wisdom the greatest gift of God’s grace, love, forgiveness, new and eternal life.
9. Pray that God will keep us safe and centered on Him during the busyness and travels during this holiday season.
10. May we join in prayer as we seek and trust in God’s provisions through people and giving of the LMO.
Al and Lucas listen to Juvenal's heart and needs of Gonzol and the surrounding communities to encourage and give wise counsel.

Prayers needed for Anna as she disciples Diana & Emma

Pray for leaders from Nabon, Gonzalo and wife Jenny as Al and Anna work with them in helping them through discipleship and leadership development.

Walking through the jungle from village to village can be a beautiful experience enjoying God's beauty and creation but at times one must be careful where one steps for you never know what you might step on. Careful with the snakes.
"God loves the little children" For their's is the Kingdom of God. We must always make time for them. Please pray for them.

Praise God for answered prayer and the fruits of the labor are beginning to flourish. Corey, Edwin and Javier share God's story and the gospel through Bible storyin as a couple of families are attentive and curious.

Corey, Javier and Edwin working with the locals on building relationships to share the gospel.

Preparing and having typical meals is not what we are used too and at times can be challenging. McDonald's is much missed. But God's grace is sufficient.

Family time in Shakai and nap time for others while in the jungle.

We thank God for the opportunities and opening doors to build relationships and begin to share the gospel with the Shuar in the southern jungles of Ecuador. Corey along with two young men Javier & Edwin) from a church in northern Ecuador accompanied him in living with a family in Shakai for a month. It was very rewarding as they shared through Bible storying and God's seed was planted. Please continue lifting these people in prayer as neighboring communities are beginning to persecute them for allowing the missionaries to come live with them. It's been a slow process but we trust in God's sovereingty. We praise God for providing a home for the three young missionaries and basic extraordinary meals.

Thank you for your prayers for Leonardo and Diego as they continue to be steadfast in their spiritual growth and desire to serve Christ. In the midst of many trials, their hunger for Christ continues. Continue to pray for Al and David as they work with them.

Join us in prayers for this small group of believers in Nabon. They are very hungry and have had no discipleship training and have a heart to reach their neighbors and surrounding communities with the gospel. We have started working with them and taking them through a process to prepare them, first in living holy lives, their prayer life staying connected in oneness with Christ, understanding and knowing the Scriptures, prayer walking and witnessing.
