Feb 2008
First we thank you for partnering with us and being part of the ministry to which our Lord has called us. We ask that the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thes 3:16. And may you be showered in abundance with the blessings from above.
We have been blessed since our return from the states after spending two months caring for Anna's mom. As she rests in his arms, we too have been resting in Him as we have been given new strength and love for where He has called us. Below you will see some pictures to give an overview of what Hes is doing and where He is leading us.
We also ask you continue to join with us in the following prayer requests as we trust in Him and His faithfulness.
1. Continued prayer for Linda's mom's health and Linda as she continues to be with her mom until her return to Ecuador.
2. Al's sister as she continues to battle her lung cancer. Comfort, peace and strength and through all this bring salvation to unsaved family members.
3. Pastors and leaders in Cañar continue to draw unto our Lord for unity to reach out to all the surrounding communities lost without the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
4. The house churches in Bartolome and Ruisho communities continue to meet, grow in the Word and multiply.
5. Faithfulness and perserverence of the new believers as some are in communities where there are no other believers.
6. Preparations for the coming of volunteer groups as we seek new communities to share the gospel.
7. Local establish churches to have a burning desire and hunger and commit to join in the work of missions with in the provinces of Azuay and Cañar. Specially with all the rains, floods and mudslides where people are loosing their homes crops and livestock.
8. God to lead us to a secular radio station where we can share the gospel to the lost world.
9. The unrest between neighboring countries of Ecuador. Venezuela and Columbia due to unrestfull situations with the FARC.
10. Coming events encouraging local churches to join together in reaching the lost.
11. A couple of pastors have asked for prayer that their sons and daughters will give total surrender to the ministry.
12. We praise God and thank you for your prayers as the the baptisms of the new believers are the result of God answering our cries. Please continue to pray for Hermano Castro one of the new believers that he will start a new house church in his home. We have been praying for Biblian where he lives and there is no evangelical work there yet.
13. We encourage you to continue the race with us as we also join you in all of your prayers and needs. We will join in worship and praise our King.

Our grandson Terrell serious about preparing and playing the guitar. We pray he will learn and have this gift and talent to use for the glory of our Redeemer.

God at work after hearing God's Word on confronting sin at Igelsia de Israel. Pastor Eusevio leading in prayer and people responding in humbleness. The Cañar Association pastors and leaders also gather for a day of fasting and prayer. Praying for vision to take the gospel to communities with no gospel or evangelical work. House church members in Bartolome led by Hno Luis P meeting in a home provided by a family away in Spain. Please thank God form this family and pray God will use them to share the gospel where they live.

Please join us in prayer as we ask God to lead us and open doors that we may take and share the gospel in these communities where there is no evangelical work. We are praying for an opportunity to take a volunteer medical team.

Al, Anna pray walk with Pastor Felix in Ingapirka, a community where last year we took a volunteer medical team and were asked to leave after offering and giving the community basic medical services, vitamins, medicines and gospel literature. Though asked to leave, some families have asked and are open to hear more of the gospel. We are praying for the construction of a home when completed to be used for the first house church. Please pray with us that soon we will see God's grace and love experienced by this community in need of Christ.

Pastor Onorato in Cashygalhuay encourages as he presents new baptized believers to continue walking in obedience with God. Al shares with the church and new believers about missions and the responsibility we have as believers. Gabriel Cantaro from the Baptist Ecuadorian Seminary in Quito encourages the believers to participate in distant learning as an opportunity to be better prepared for God's calling upon their lives.

After much prayer, we thank God for working in the lives of those who follow in obedience. Hno. Castro gave testimony of how God's Word changed and transformed his life. The Truth shall set you free! Free indeed. Others joined in obedience as onlookers watched. passer bys were attracted and curious. Even three little boys watched from the distance and a seed planted in their hearts that they will never forget. Thank God for showing us His faithfulness in answering and hearing our prayers for the lost. God, bless those following in baptisms and that they continue to walk faithfully with you.

We thank and praise God for his goodness and blessing the missionary women through your prayers, support and volunteers who give so generously of their time to come and minister. In the middle of the Tungarahua volcano erupting as one night they viewed the night being lit up by it´s fire and lava, they still were able to receive and enjoy God´s blessings. Thank you and we love you.

It is good to be back and worship with our fellow bretheren in Cuenca and to see the children learning how to worship and praise God through songs and Scripture memory being taught and led by two committed local young ladies. They are such an encouragement to us as they have loved us and prayed for us during these last two months of our hardship.
